The MBSC phone app – “MBSC – Weigh the Odds” is now available in the Android and Apple stores for your use! This app includes both the Outcomes and VTE calculators and allows you to easily access and toggle between the two tools. We hope this delivers an easy resource for predicting outcomes and VTE risk for your bariatric surgery patients!

DEVELOPMENT
The content was developed by the Michigan Bariatric Surgery Collaborative (MBSC), a Blue Cross Blue Shield/ Blue Care Network of Michigan sponsored consortium of bariatric surgeons and hospitals across the state of Michigan.
PREDICTED OUTCOMES
Predicted outcomes include projected weight loss, complication risk, and resolution of comorbidities for the most common bariatric surgical procedures.
VTE CALCULATOR
The VTE calculator provides risk-stratified treatment guidelines.
